The Kingdom of Portugal is a small but independent medieval nation on the western coast of Europe. It began as the County of Portucale and became a recognized kingdom in the 1100s. Portugal is known for its strong leadership, organized towns, and growing coastal trade. The kingdom focuses on defending its borders, developing its cities, and maintaining a stable government.
