Description
Founded in 1998 in the heart of Stapleton County, Firestone, BuildRight began as a small, family-run lumber yard and tool shed on the edge of town. It was the brainchild of William "Bill" Actual, a third-generation carpenter who grew tired of driving out of county for quality building materials. Bill saw an opportunity to bring reliable supplies and real know-how closer to the local builders, farmers, and DIYers who were being overlooked by the big-box stores. With little more than a barn full of 2x4s, a coffee pot, and a handshake guarantee, Bill opened the first BuildRight Hardware & Supply store. Word spread fast: if you wanted it done right, you went to BuildRight. By the early 2000s, BuildRight expanded to include full-service hardware, tool rentals, seasonal supplies, and a ProDesk for local contractors. The company stayed true to its roots—community-focused, worker-owned, and proud of its small-town grit. Today, BuildRight operates 34 stores across the platform.
