The Sulpheret Islands #9982726
OtherENfantasy loremythologyroleplay
Description
Legend speaks of the Sulpheret Islands as the remnants of a great serpent god’s shattered eggs, broken upon the earth by the wrath of Zeus himself. From the molten depths, the first Drakones Pyroforos—the Fire-Blooded Lizardmen—crawled forth, their scales hardened by flame, their spirits unbreakable. The island’s first ruler, Archon Krathos the Ember-Fanged, was said to have conquered the land with fire and steel, forging the warrior-culture that endures to this day. The Lizardmen believe they are the true heirs of Ares, the god of war. They honor him above all others, offering up gladiatorial duels, grand war-games, and relentless military campaigns against their enemies. To die in battle is to ascend to the eternal flames of Pyrkagia, the warrior's afterlife, where only the strongest of souls may fight forever.
