🪴 On May 1st, I set up my very first hydroponic garden. The original plan was to grow sweet baby peppers, but somewhere along the lines the plan was changed to alpine strawberries. Looking back on it, we should've used bare root rather than seed, as it was excruciatingly slow. It was a fun process to see though, and currently I am in the process of watching the crown form with my very eyes. On May 12th and 13th respectively, I received my everbearing strawberry bare roots and twin plum trees. I planted the strawberries in pots on a balcony, and they did very well. I had forgotten to plant one of the plum trees. The first tree planted flourished, leafing out and spread quickly. I am now in the process of trying to revive and prevent its twin from perishing. Two of the strawberries have been scorched terribly by the sun, as I had neglected proper crown placement in the soil. I had fixed them up. I've nursed a raspberry plant and moved it outside, where it has multiple runners now.
