Description

"In Stahlgewittern" The German Stirnpanzer was a heavy steel brow plate developed during the First World War to provide additional frontal protection for the M1916 Stahlhelm against bullets and shell fragments. Weighing roughly 2 kg, it attached to the helmet’s ventilation lugs by means of a leather strap and was primarily intended for sentries and other troops in exposed positions.
