The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is the military organization responsible for defending the sovereignty and territory of the country against foreign and domestic threats. Headquartered at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City, it is led by the President of the Philippines as the Commander-in-Chief.The AFP is made up of three main service branches:Philippine Army (PA): The largest branch, responsible for land combat and protecting the country from ground threats.Philippine Air Force (PAF): The branch that uses airplanes and helicopters to protect the country's airspace and support ground troops.Philippine Navy (PN): The naval warfare branch, which includes the Philippine Marine Corps, responsible for defending the country's coastal waters and seas.
