During the era of the reconstituted Sith Empire, the Sith Emperor tasked six Sith Lords—B estia, Tyrans, Brontes, Styrak, Calphayus, and Raptus—with studying the powerful Phobis devices, and sent them to Oricon to do so. When they emerged from their research as the mysterious and powerful Dread Masters, they declared their intention to make Oricon their home, and with the Emperor's blessing, they used thousands of slaves to construct the Dread Fortress as their citadel.
