Description (written by the developer; not a statement by this register)
Marine Corps Training Camp Thunderbolt is a United States military training installation located within the Nellis Air Force Base Complex in Nevada. Similar to Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command, Twentynine Palms, the campis used to train in desert environments and combined arms warfare, albeit at a smaller scale. The camp is currently home to the 109th Marine Expeditionary Force and the 9th Armored Brigade, with plans to expand operations to the 12th Marine Aircraft Wing planned in the near future. Camp Thunderbolt is named after a major military operation series known as Operations Thunderbolt 1 through 3, the details of which are classified. Members of the 109th MEF use this base as a basic training center for new recruitees, although other alternatives are available.
