"SEMPER AD MORTEM" - FAITFHUL UNTIL DEATH The Department of Occult Defense (otherwise known as the PENTAGRAM), is the fourth military department of the Department of Defense, tasked with the protection of the United States through anomalous means. Established in 1857, the Department was originally referred to as the Department of the Anomalous, tasked with rooting out anomalous entities throughout the continental U.S. In particular, it was influential in removing, imprisoning, or containing Native American anomalous entities. Today, the Department of Occult Defense serves as the bulwark against paranormal threats to the nation, using its vast research and potential to keep ahead of its enemies beyond the Veil.
