LOCATION: Alongside the coast of San Francisco bay, Northern California. (Alcatraz Island is visible) The capture of the presidio of san francisco is a major victory for the Californians in the bear flag revolt. This fortification is very strategic in defending the San Francisco bay from foreign invaders. During the civil war, the united states navy has bombarded Fort point, the Alcatraz island, and Fort winfield scott, leaving the presidio to be the last to remain. Either the defenders successfully repel the United States navy, or San francisco is doomed to fall.
