𝐀𝐃𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐆𝐎𝐃𝐒 The headquarters of the army stands proudly in the flatlands just south of Östersund, surrounded on all sides by dense forest. an open clearing carved from the wilderness, where history was forged in steel and fire. Originally a peaceful country estate owned by General George Adlersparre, the mansion and its fields became the heart of the independence movement in 1792. The estate was transformed into two small barracks were built at the edge of the tree line for riders and messengers, followed by two larger ones for regular troops. The wide central grounds became the kingdom’s primary parade field and rallying ground, where new battalions formed, banners were raised, and Adlersparre himself inspected the lines.
