Description
𝐓𝐑Ø𝐍𝐃-𝐉𝐀𝐌𝐓𝐒𝐊𝐄 𝐊𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐊𝐄𝐓 Trøndelag and Jämtland had long shared a common culture and brotherhood. When Sweden’s King Gustav III was assassinated in 1792, the Jamtlanders, led by General George Adlersparre, seized the moment and rose against Swedish rule. A new Jamt government sent envoys to Trøndelag, where the people joined the uprising. After five years of fierce war, the Trønders and Jamtlanders emerged victorious. To unify the new nation, a monarchy was established, and Adlersparre was crowned king of the Trønd-Jamtske Kongeriket—a free kingdom born of shared struggle and ancient bonds. 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐒: In progress
