Chaldean Catholic Cathedral of the Eternal Light

On December 20, 2025, the Chaldean Catholic Patriarchate and its European community joyfully received the keys and full ownership of a historic Gothic cathedral that had faced difficulties remaining open. In a remarkable act of generosity, the Roman Catholic community entrusted the cathedral to the Chaldean faithful, providing a long‑awaited home for the East Syriac rite. Now named the Chaldean Catholic Cathedral of the Eternal Light, it stands as a symbol of unity, faith, and shared tradition. Its stained glass windows reflect the cathedral’s name and purpose, offering a sacred space for liturgical, spiritual, and pastoral life.
