Clark County Fire Department ᅠᅠ #1023792822
Description
The Clark County Fire Department was established in March of 1941 as a merger between the Mersea Fire Protection District, Woodbury Volunteer Fire Company, and Medford Volunteer Rescue Squad. Before the merger, each jurisdiction in Clark County maintained its own fire suppression service, each equipped with its own level of equipment and expertise. This was deemed ineffective, and the merger was conducted and completed by March of 1941. The Clark County Fire Department is responsible for fire suppression and emergency medical services operations in the County of Clark. Today, the Clark County Fire Department acts as the county-level fire suppression and emergency medical services agency of the County of Clark.
