The Imperial Commonwealth of Australia ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Year: 1860s-1880s Motto: God Bless Australia ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The Imperial Commonwealth of Australia is set during the Russian scare of the late 19th century. After the Crimean war, the Australian peoples feared a possible invasion by the Russian Empire. Even though a Russian invasion of Australian never occurred, the Australian colonies nevertheless boosted their naval and army’s size and capabilities. Forts were built throughout the colonies at major points. Ships were built and brought to newly kit out the colonies’ navies. Large amounts of Volunteer Battalions were raised throughout the 1870s-1880s due to the Russian scare.
