Description
5. Leichtes Infantrie Bataillon was created in 1754, the men of the unit proved themselves against their old homelands in border raids and Skirmishes. The men would later be sent to Italy as a guard against growing French power in the Region, and would side with Charles X until his death at the hands of Richard I, whom they would serve loyally until the end of the war, and his passing in 1791. His Successor would grant them the new Rifles in 1796 after pulling out of Italy during the war of the First Coalition. The Unit would serve Valiantly under Napoleon, being trusted to watch the flank of his Advance during the Wars of Third Coalition.
