𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 The Infantry Pioneer Command was one of the innovations of the Army Act of 1937. The pioneer troops' job was light field work and construction, reparation or demolition of strategic points such as roads, bridges and railways. The unit was roughly the size of a regiment and consisted of two pioneer battalions and one telegraph battalion. Both pioneer battalions each had a motorized company with mild anti-tank capacity.
