Forged from the fall of the Old Kingdoms by the Scorinian Conquest of 1501, the Chalkien Kingdom's final stand led the king's son, Prince Rushington, on a search for refuge for the survivors of the brutal attack which claimed what was formerly the four greatest kingdoms in the world. In this search across the Maplonian Sea, they landed in reserve territory of the Chalkein Kingdom, and rebuilt.
