Description
This group is a depiction of Sweden during the Napoleonic wars. Join us in our defence against the Danish and Russians. The Swedish army had been ready for an invasion due to the French invasion of Swedish Pomerania threatening the mainland, but under the pressure from two fronts the Swedes had been forced to retain the ability to send troops wherever they were needed the most. The main theater of war was in the east, where the Russian invasion threatened the Swedish rule in Finland, but the threat from Denmark–Norway and France was taken seriously. The Swedish western army was divided into two wings, the right wing was led by Armfeldt himself and the left wing was led by Major General Vegesack. On the Eastern army was initially lead Lieutenant General Karl Nathanael af Klercker acted as the Swedish commander in Finland with the army's plan involving the use of the series of fortifications built after 1790 as staging grounds for the Russian advances into Finland.
