Description
Brkhard was in Nassau service prior joined Pfalz Service and was made colonel of a regiment of foot. His regiment likely raised around 1621, recruiting in the Pfalz and numbering 2000 men. This unit helped in the relief of Heidelburg before moving to be part of the garrison of Maanhelm The regiment was likely severely reduced during the siege of Maanhelm
