Description
The Clark County Regional Hospital was established in June of 1972 as a county-funded venture to provide the residents of the County of Clark with healthcare and emergency medical services in conjunction with the Clark County Fire Department. Before the Clark County Regional Hospital, there had been no major metropolitan hospital with the amenities to support all healthcare needs in the County of Clark, and patients had to go to the City of Lander to receive major medical procedures. The original health campus had been located in the Town of Mersea, but was sold after the acquisition of the Lander City Metropolitan Hospital in December of 1999 when the County of New Haven had forfeited county properties to the County of Clark. Today, the Clark County Regional Hospital acts as the county-level healthcare and emergency medical services agency of the County of Clark.
