Description
The 1st Marine Division is a division of the United States Marine Corps. During the Vietnam War, the division was deployed to South Vietnam to conduct combat operations and support U.S. military objectives. The 1st Marine Division participated in numerous operations in central and northern regions of South Vietnam, including amphibious assaults, ground combat, and support for allied forces. Its units included infantry regiments, and artilery support units.
