𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐆𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐈 彰義隊 '𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭' The Shogitai was an elite shock infantry formation of the Tokugawa Shogunate, being made up of Shogunate loyalists. It took part of many battles, with members of the Shogitai surviving all the way to their surrender alongside the forces of the Republic of Ezo.
