Description
O Poder Legislativo da República de Santa Helena organiza-se em três níveis. No âmbito nacional, atua o Senado da República, órgão máximo da representação popular e legislativa, responsável por elaborar leis federais, aprovar tratados e fiscalizar o Executivo central. Em nível estadual, cada província possui seu Parlamento Estadual, encarregado de legislar sobre matérias locais, administrar orçamentos regionais e representar os interesses das comunidades insulares. Na esfera municipal, o Conselho Municipal exerce funções legislativas básicas, regulando assuntos cotidianos, como urbanismo, serviços públicos e normas comunitárias. A estrutura assegura participação democrática em todas as escalas do arquipélago.
