Description
1st Marine Division ⭐1⭐ "𝙉𝙤 𝘽𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙, 𝙉𝙤 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙨𝙚 𝙀𝙣𝙚𝙢𝙮" ═───────────═ The 1st Marine Division arrived in Vietnam in March 1965, becoming the first U.S. division to be committed to the conflict. Their initial mission was to defend the U.S. airbase at Da Nang. The division participated in various operations throughout the war, including Operation Starlite (1965), the first major U.S. offensive action of the war, the Tet Offensive, and more. The 1st Marine Division operated in the northern regions of South Vietnam, engaging in various combat operations against North Vietnamese forces. The division began withdrawing from Vietnam in 1970, and by 1971, the majority of its personnel had returned to the United States. ═───────────═ Requirement: Pass the entry selection process.
