The Royal Regiment of Canada Nec Aspera Terrent — Not Even Hardships Deter The Royal Regiment of Canada is the hardened combat infantry of His Majesty's Canadian Forces — the regiment that has paid the heaviest price and never wavered. On the 19th of August, 1942, the Regiment landed in the first wave of the Dieppe Raid, assaulting the beach at Puys under withering fire in one of the costliest actions any Canadian unit faced in the entire war. Of those who landed, few returned unwounded — yet the Regiment's name has stood ever since as a byword for courage under impossible odds. Members of this division carry that legacy forward. This is not a regiment for the faint of heart — it is for those who understand that some battles are fought and lost before they are ultimately won, and that the price of victory is remembered, not forgotten. Tested at Dieppe. Tempered by it.
