He therefore reformed government administration in various areas, emphasizing the military aspect. It began with bringing in foreign military trainers to begin training in combat. and led his forces into the first modern attack in the Kengtung War. He supported military affairs by sending many of his sons to study military subjects in Europe. He brought modern military technology to improve the Thai military until it developed on a par with Western nations. He also enacted the Military Conscription Act, R.S. 124 (B.E. 2448), allowing men who reached 18 years of age to serve in the military for two years and then be ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
