The Snow Guard "Where gods weep, we harden." ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The Snow Guard were once proud knights of Ravenstern, sworn to uphold the northern code of honor and justice. Stationed in the Greywatch Fortress, a remote outpost nestled deep in the Wailing Peaks, they were forgotten when the tides of war turned elsewhere. Winter after winter, they held their post. Reinforcements never came. Supplies dwindled. Word from the capital ceased. It was not a defeat that changed them, but abandonment. The Snow Guard abandoned all allegiance to Ravenstern or any crown. They became rogue mercenaries, selling their sword-arms to those who could pay — but never to the weak, nor to the cruel. They claim their loyalty is to the Frost Oath, a cold and ancient doctrine lost to history, whispered in the biting winds of the north. Some believe it is tied to pre-Empire mysticism, others that it’s a madness born of isolation. Whatever it is, it binds them tighter than any kingdom could.
