Description
During the 1940s, the U.S. Army’s Military Intelligence Service (MIS) was a key World War II unit. It included specialized groups such as the Japanese American linguist teams and the "Ritchie Boys," who were mainly German-speaking recruits trained at Camp Ritchie. These units provided translation, interrogation, and intelligence gathering, making major contributions in both the Pacific and European theaters.
