WESTWARD THE TERRITORY OF COLORADO, UNITED STATES After the conclusion of the American Civil War in 1865, Americans found themselves in a great economic unrest. This fueled the westward expansion and the belief of 'manifest destiny'. "Big Mountain Country" is one such region created by those seeking fortune out westward. Situated in a valley surrounded by high mountains, the region is notorious for its many mines which surround it. Make the journey to the west, find your fortune and manifest your destiny. c. 1882
