𝖲𝖧𝖮𝖱𝖳 𝖧𝖨𝖲𝖳𝖮𝖱𝖸: The 89th Combat Aviation Battalion has had many names since 1918 but has been given its current name since 1959 with the introduction of the Bell UH-1 Iroquois or “Huey”. The 89th was first used in combat on April 17, 1961, during the Bay of Pigs invasion assisting Brigade 2506. The 89th had immaculate success on the battlefield and successfully pushed back the Cubans until the war ended on October 29, 1962. The 89th Combat Aviation Battalion's main goal currently is to keep the borders of Cuba protected in case of any retaliation from the Soviets & providing national guard service to the State of Cuba.
