Description
In the 17th century, Sweden emerged as a great power, under the rule of King Gustavus Adolphus. This was a result of many years of warfare and conquest, which witnessed Sweden claim territory in Livonia, Ingria, Norway, Northern Germany and Scania; as well as its establishment as the leader of the Protestant world due it its many stunning victories during the Thirty Years' War. Sweden founded several colonies in the new world and Africa, creating a small global colonial Empire on top of it's existing and mighty Baltic Empire that it had built for itself.
