From its earliest days, Massalia was a city defined by commerce and law forging a unique Helleno-Celtic identity between the Greek world and the lands beyond its walls. Composed of the Timoukhoi, the honoured citizen body of the polis, the Hoplitikon represents those entrusted with both the privileges and responsibilities of Massalian citizenship. These citizen hoplites form the backbone of the Massalian Stratos, defending the laws and legacy of their city through discipline and service.
