Description
The Myanmar Navy - Tatmadaw Yay / တပ်မတော် (ရေ) is the naval warfare branch of the armed forces of Myanmar - Tatmadaw. The Primary Missions of the Navy is to pursue a Active Role in Defense and Operations within Myanmar's territorial waters. The Myanmar Navy also takes supporting role alongside Tatmadaw Kyi ( Army ) and Tatmadaw Yay ( Navy) in counter-insurgency operations, especially in Coastal Regions. the Myanmar Navy hosts its annual 'Sea Shield' combined fleet exercise in the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea Yearly. The annual manoeuvres usually involved live-fire exercises and Naval Operations by several of the Myanmar Navy's strategic vessels.
