“درباوية” (Darbawiyah / Darbawi) is a Gulf slang term, mostly used in Saudi Arabia and nearby countries, describing a rebellious youth subculture associated with street drifting (“tafheet”), modified cars, reckless behavior, and rough street style. The term is linked to “Darb Al-Khatar” (“Road of Danger”), which was reportedly the name of an old online forum/community. الدرباوي (الجمع: درباويّه) هي ظاهرة ثقافية وفكرية وأخلاقية ظهرت بين الشباب السعودي, هناك اختلاف عن أول ظهور لهذه الثقافة. كلمة درباوي جائت من عبارة "درب الخطر" وهو إسم منتدى يتجمع فيه هؤلاء الشباب ويشاركون فيه اهتماماتهم, أهمها حبهم للتفحيط حيث يقومون بتبادل مقاطع الفيديو والاتفاق عن مواعيد وأماكن معينة لممارسة هوايتهم. يتميز الدرباوي بصفات شكلية وأخلاقية وثقافية
