River Patrol Squadron 5 (RIVRON 5) 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡, 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 ═───────────═ River Squadron 5 operated small, fast Patrol Boat, River (PBR) craft designed for interdiction and reconnaissance missions in Vietnam’s narrow waterways. Often patrolling under the cover of darkness, they stopped and searched thousands of sampans for weapons, supplies, and enemy personnel.
