Description
The House of Fëanor is a prominent family in J.R.R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion, led by Fëanor, the most gifted and fiery of the Noldor elves. Fëanor is renowned for crafting the Silmarils, three radiant jewels that captured the light of the Two Trees of Valinor, making them the most prized and fateful creations in Middle-earth. The Silmarils incited great strife, as Fëanor's obsessive love for them led him to defy the Valar and rebel against the will of the gods. After the dark lord Morgoth stole the jewels, Fëanor and his seven sons swore a binding, tragic oath to recover them at all costs. This vow drove the House of Fëanor into devastating wars, betrayals, and the ruin of friendships and alliances among elves, men, and dwarves, leaving a legacy of both brilliance and sorrow.
