Description
Kerajaan Sunda dan Kerajaan Galuh adalah dua kerajaan Sunda yang berpecah daripada Kerajaan Tarumanagara. Menurut Tome Pires, ibu kota Sunda iaitu Dayo atau Dayueh terletak dua hari perjalanan dari muara Sungai Ciliwung di Pelabuhan Kalapa atau Jakarta. Prasasti yang dijumpai di Bogor menceritakan tentang Kerajaan Sunda sebagai pecahan kerajaan Taruma manakala prasasti Sukabumi menerangkan mengenai keadaan Kerajaan Sunda hingga ke zaman pemerintahan Sri Jayabupati. Kerajaan Galuh pula berpusat di Ciamis di sekitar pekan Kawali.
