It started originally as a cult, but because of its popularity and followers, It was declared as the Church of the Eternal Fire. The head of the religion is the Hierarch who is elected through an Electoral College. While not having any official army or any military force, many organisations have declared their loyalty and protection to the Eternal Fire, these include The Order of the Flaming Rose and the Witch Hunters. They are willing to defend the faith by defending the commoners and disposing of blasphemers. The Eternal Fire is largely worshipped in Redania and The Free City of Novigrad.
