𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐋 House Martell stood firmly beside King Daeron II through marriage and alliance, becoming one of the strongest supporters of the crown during the rebellion. Daeron’s union with Myriah Martell helped bring Dorne peacefully into the realm, but also fueled resentment among many marcher and Reach lords who despised Dornish influence. Because of this, House Martell became a major target of anti-Dornish sentiment spread by Blackfyre supporters. Nevertheless, the princes of Dorne remained loyal to the Iron Throne and committed men and resources to the royal cause. Their alliance with House Targaryen represented a new vision of Westeros united through diplomacy rather than endless conquest. Though hated by many rebels, the Martells emerged from the conflict with their influence stronger than before.
