"Communist Party of Germany" ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The KPD was founded after world war one, mainly by socialists who had opposed the war, to put an end to German monarchism. In 1923, Ernst Thälmann was elected by soviet officials from the Comintern to lead the KPD. Immediately, Thälmann dropped the KPD's revolutionary goals and lead for a more electoral and diplomatic process of ruling over Germany, and opted to enter the Reichstag.
