This Dynasty's Marine Corps is a generalization of Various East Asian Armies in the past and how it would have looked like if the Fashion of the 20th Century for Asian Armies had not fallen out of favour. The Dynasty's Marine Corps is lead by Emperor Hokata and the Empire has been at war with local resistance including other larger empires overseas.
