Description
Before being sold to the USSR in 1930, Antalon was policed by a U.S. Marshal and his posse. After the transfer concluded, the soviet regime began adapting the Antalonian SSR to the soviet ideology. During that time, in 1932, they established the Militsiya of the Antalonian SSR, tasked with general law enforcement, as the Marshal's Office was abolished. The militsiya was the main law enforcement agency, until in 1987 the Antalonian SSR declared independence. Independent Antalon restructured and renamed the militsiya to Federal Police, and in effect turned it into a hybrid model between the soviet and modern American policing models. Nowadays, the Federal Police is tasked with enforcing the law diligently, keeping the peace, and fighting crime, whilst also helping the population in everyday situations. They also have DERT, a tactical unit for the most severe life-and-death situations.
