Description
Kaiserliches Heer (English: Imperial Army) was the primary land force of the German Empire, and with the exile of the government to Africa, nearly all colonial forces remained, and a sizable portion of the army in the mainland fled to Africa with the Hochseeflotte. Because of this, Germany and her colonies have been able to maintain their Empire with relatively little difficulty. Unfortunately for the Heer, the more time has passed, the older it has grown. Plans have been made to modernize the Heer, but many aspects of the Army are outdated. Artillery, Uniforms, and transportation equipment are all showing their age, and are going to need replacement soon. Whether the Heer continues to be an effective fighting force remains to be seen, as the cost of the military grows too large for the national budget to manage.
