Description
A gendarmerie is a military force with police duties among the civilian population. As well, a section of the military responsible for policing in both the armed forces and in the civilian population. Historically, these type of units came from the armies of the Kingdom of Saxony, German Empire and WW2 Germany until the conclusion of World War II in Europe. It is also a military component with jurisdiction in civil law enforcement.
