Description
Kingdom of Bactria. As the focal point of trade, linked by both the Western goods of Rome, and other such factions, and linked to the far east of China. Bactria was a Kingdom built on trade. Originally designated as a rugged frontier, Persian Emperors would resettle Greek populations to Bactria, modern day Afghanistan, in an attempt to keep Hellenism away. When Alexander the Great conquered his way to India, with his vast armies, he discovered the Hellenistic Population of Bactria, complete with the religion of Greece, and the culture of it aswell. When Alexander's unfortunate end came, Diodotus, General of Alexander, and Governor of Bactria, he had taken his chance and seceded from the Seleukids, creating a Greek Dynasty that was foundational to the Wars of the Diodachi.
