Description

Parthian diplomacy was flexible and strategic, focused on maintaining influence without constant warfare. The Parthian Empire used client kings, alliances, and marriages to control regions like Armenia, often avoiding direct conquest. In dealing with the Roman Empire, they relied on negotiation, delay tactics, and symbolic gestures—such as returning captured standards after the Battle of Carrhae—to maintain power while preventing prolonged war.
