Description

The Emirate of Armenia (Imarat Arminiya), positioned at the threshold of the Anatolian and Caucasus regions, serves as one of the most strategically vital frontiers of the Abbasid Caliphate. Its land is dotted with numerous thriving and urbanized cities, each contributing to the emirate’s economic and military strength. Though Arab rule has shaped the region over recent centuries, Armenia continues to preserve its deep-rooted Armenian heritage, reflecting a proud and enduring multi-ethnic identity. Standing at the crossroads between the Arabs and the Byzantines, the emirate has witnessed countless campaigns and shifting tides of war. Through these trials, its fortresses, armies, and mountain cities have grown strong and resilient, forming a steadfast shield for the Caliphate in times of conflict.

Growth

2 measurements spanning 46 days, net -1. Dots are measurements; the straight line between them is drawn to join them, not to claim we know the path taken in between — snapshots are recorded only when a count changes, so gaps mean “no change observed”, never “interpolated”. The vertical axis spans 33–34 and does not start at zero.
