Description
The Coruscant Guard was an elite corps of clone shock troopers within the Grand Army of the Republic, dedicated to policing and protecting the galactic capital planet of Coruscant during the Clone Wars. Serving under Clone Commander Fox, they acted as military police, patrolling streets, assisting the Coruscant Security Force, guarding key government buildings and the Senate, conducting hostage rescues, escorting dignitaries and Jedi, and securing high-security sites like the Republic Judiciary Central Detention Center. They also hunted fugitives, notably pursuing Ahsoka Tano after the Jedi Temple bombing. Unlike frontline units, the Guard rarely saw open combat, focusing on urban security, rapid response, and crowd control—earning them some resentment from battle-hardened clones who viewed them as "desk troopers." Their distinctive Phase II armor featured bold red markings on white bases, making them instantly recognizable amid Coruscant's towering skyline.
