Description

The Czechoslovak Army represented the armed forces of Czechoslovakia from 1918 to 1992. Volunteer units (known as the Czechoslovak Legion) were established abroad before the establishment of an independent state and participated in the First World War. The building of the domestic army began on October 28, 1918, when Josef ######## was appointed the highest administrator of the Czechoslovak troops. In the first months of the republic's existence, its army was deployed in the ########### against German enemies, and the Hungarian army led the war for Slovakia and the so-called seven-day war for the Těšín region with the Polish army.
